Our Mission
Hey, my name is Cifei and I am 15 years old from Virginia. I started PinkGap to support the needs of how many female students and teens simply don’t have the academic resources that they, and all students, deserve.
The stats behind social equality - In Cambodia, 48 percent of rural women are illiterate compared to 14 percent of rural men.
That didn’t seem fair. At 13, I had the opportunity to write stories and read Harry Potter; so surely, they deserved to have the right to do the same. I know there's more I can do, so I began volunteering at my school's Society of Women Engineers(SWENext) club.
In April 2024, I founded PinkGap, a legal nonprofit on a mission to empower girls, youth, and women globally through tutoring and online events. Here, we provide a platform for passionate high school female students and under-resourced peers to come together in mutual support and form communities.
We'd love to have you join our cause! From tutoring a student to volunteering at our team to starting a chapter at your local, there's so much you can do to make a difference in the community you live in.
